A ScribeShack Thanksgiving
Gathering, Gratitude & the Stories in Between
At ScribeShack, Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays—not because of the turkey (though we won’t turn down a second helping), but because it’s a day built entirely around what we value most:
family, story, memory, and the little moments that stitch a life together.
As a woman-owned, family-centered company, we don’t just talk about documenting life…
we live it.
And Thanksgiving gives us a front-row seat to all the tiny details worth capturing.
How We Spend Thanksgiving at ScribeShack
If you peeked into our homes on Thanksgiving Day, you’d find:
-
all of us laughing about the year we lost the croissants
-
friends comparing recipes and memories about holidays in the past
-
leaving the door always open for anyone who is without a place to be
-
Christmas movie marathons beginning, with laughter about all the times before
-
phones buzzing with incoming friends & family, out-of-state texts, and photo shares
-
the kitchen full, loud, chaotic… but ours...loved beyond measure
Mostly, you’d find women doing what women have always done—carrying tradition, tending the hearts of the people they love, and making sure stories are remembered.
We Hope You Celebrate Fully… & Document Intentionally
Yes, we hope you rest.
Yes, we hope you laugh until your cheeks hurt.
Yes, we hope you eat something so delicious you vow to write down the recipe this time.
But we also hope you take a little time to scribe your life in real time.
Thanksgiving offers the kind of details that slip away quietly if we don’t catch them:
-
the way the table looked before anyone touched it
-
the joke that made everyone snort
-
the sound of kids running down the hallway
-
the exact words someone said that stayed with you
-
the scent that reminds you of home
These are the moments that become tomorrow’s stories.
Your Thanksgiving Documentation Challenge (ScribeShack Style)
Every holiday deserves its own adventure, so here’s your challenge:
🔍 FIND & CATCH THE HIDDEN MOMENTS
(Think of it like a little Thanksgiving “Where’s Waldo?”… but it’s your life.)
Choose at least 3 of the challenges below:
🖋️ 1. The Signature Hunt
Pass around your journal or notebook and ask every guest to
“sign the Thanksgiving page.”
They can add:
-
a doodle
-
a note
-
a memory
-
something they’re grateful for
-
a piece of advice
You’ll treasure it more than any card.
📸 2. The Photo Quest
Take photos of:
-
the hands that cooked the meal
-
the shoes lined up by the front door
-
the “chaos corner” where everyone seems to gather
Then caption them later—capture what’s unseen.
🍽️ 3. The Food Story Snapshot
Ask the cook:
“Where did this recipe come from?”
Write their answer.
Take a photo of the dish.
A story and a picture = instant family history.
🎤 4. The One Question Game
Ask one big question and record everyone’s answer:
“What was the best part of this year for you?”
You’ll be shocked by the depth (and the humor).
💛 5. The Quiet Gratitude Moment
Find a moment no one else notices—
a laugh, a touch, a look, a mess—
and write a 2–3 sentence snapshot.
Often, the quietest things become the most important.
From Our Family to Yours: Thank You
We can’t end this post without saying it clearly:
You are one of the things we’re thankful for.
Truly.
ScribeShack exists because women like you believe in the power of documenting a life—
not just the big memories,
but the tiny details that reveal who we are.
We’re honored to be part of your story.
Whether you’re gathered around a table of thirty, curled up on the couch with one other person, or savoring a quiet holiday on your own…
we wish you a Thanksgiving full of warmth, wonder, and moments worth scribbling.
And don’t forget:
🔍 Your life is full of hidden treasures today. Go find them. Go document them.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at ScribeShack. 🧡
